Travis Parman has built an international communications career supporting public companies during transformative periods serving as the chief truth teller to counsel C-Suite executives and manage corporate challenges when companies need it most.
He joined AppHarvest, a sustainable food company that operates high-tech indoor farms to provide good jobs in economically distressed areas of the Appalachian Mountains, as chief communications officer in November 2020 to help take the company public.

Travis joined the company from the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance with assignments in France, Japan, and the U.S. He also has held leadership positions at the U.S. homebuilder PulteGroup, Ally Financial, General Motors, Vauxhall in the United Kingdom and Lockheed Martin overseeing U.S. Department of Energy initiatives.

Travis is a member of the Arthur Page Society for Chief Communicators. He holds an M.S. in communications management from Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University and a B.S. in communications from the University of Tennessee. PR Week named him to its “40 Under 40” list. He is a founding executive sponsor of Nissan’s LGBTQ+ affinity group.
