Martina Sokač Saraga is the Head of the Public Relations Department in the Croatian Chamber of Economy and her experience in the field of communications is thirteen years long. She has so far participated in the promotion of numerous projects and campaigns on a national level, such as “Kupujmo Hrvatsko”, “Vrijedne ruke”, “Drvo je prvo”, “Jedi što vrijedi” or international exhibition for the world promotion of Croatia, “Be CROative”.

Her current occupation is the promotion of the national project “Zaposlimo Hrvatsku”, which is created and effectuated through the cooperation of the Croatian Chamber of Economy and the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts, under the auspices of the president of the Republic of Croatia, Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović. Sokač Saraga is also the Project manager of the contact center for maintaining relations with the members of the Chamber. Before her work in the field of communications, she gained experience in journalism as a media associate in the daily magazine Jutarnji list and on the Croatian Radiotelevision. During the presidential campaign in 2009, she worked as a spokesperson for the election headquarters, being evaluated with the highest grade (for Twitter communication of the presidential candidate) by national media. She is also co-organizer of the regional conference for social networking, “Twitomanija”, with about 700 regional participants. Her participation in the Academy program for the development of the Council of Europe occurred in 2007. She was a member of the jury for the election of the best students’ work in the case study competition, which was part of an annual conference PRilika, organized by the Serbian Society for Public Relations.

On occasion, she works as a guest lecturer at the universities in Zagreb and Novi Sad and as a guest lecturer at regional conferences. She majored in the Faculty of Political Science in Zagreb and she is currently enrolled in the Ph.D. program of Communication Studies, at the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek.
