Managing Director of the Scientific Senate of the PRVA


Ingrid Vogl was born in 1955 in Austria. She finished her education at the University of Vienna where she has a Master’s in Sociology and Doctorate in Journalism and Communication.

She started her career as a PR specialist in 1987 as a press office member in the parliamentary group of the Social democratic Party. Up until 1992, she works in politics as a spokesperson for the Viennese Social democratic Party and in general election campaign management. From 1992 to 1997 she works as a PR manager for a couple of leading Austrian companies in the banking and tobacco sectors.

After a year as a self-employed PR consultant, in a period from 1999 to 2009, she worked in Corporate Communication for the Wiener Stadtwerke group, where she was Head of  Corporate Communication from 2002. From 2005 she was an assistant lecturer at different educational institutions in Austria.

From January to April 2010 she was a part of presidential election campaign management in the team of federal president Heinz Fischer, who won his second mandate. After the election, she continues as a self-employed PR consultant. One of her main projects was campaign coordination for a petition for a referendum on education in 2011.

As part of her voluntary work, she held the function of president of PRVA (Public Relations Association Austria) from March 2011 till March 2015. Since May 2015 she has been a managing director of the Scientific Senate of the PRVA.
