Davor Jakovac is a skilled professional in the field of public relations, with nearly 20 years of experience in internal communication. He has been the Head of Internal Communication at Croatian Post since 2010, where he also serves as the editor-in-chief of the company’s printed and digital communication platforms. Prior to this role, Jakovac mostly worked in internal communication and cross-media advertising and PR for Vecernji list, a Croatian daily newspaper, where he contributed to a range of award-winning projects such as the IFRA Cross Media Awards.
Throughout his career, Jakovac has focused on employer branding, company culture, and the role of internal communication in driving business goals and employee engagement. He has also utilized a variety of channels to promote company values and educate employees on the company’s business strategy, the role of employees in overall company success, optimal service to citizens, a customer-centric approach, and responsible and inclusive business practices.
He has been instrumental in several notable and awards-winning communications projects at Croatian Post, including winning two HUOJ Grand PRix awards for internal communication. Croatian Post also won the World Mail Award in the “People Management” category for a company culture project that Jakovac led from 2014 to 2019.
In addition to his work at Croatian Post, Jakovac is a member of the HUOJ and has served on the international jury for the INMA Global Media Awards and twice on the HUOJ Grand PRix jury.
