Dr. Zehra GÜNGÖR (Turkey) did her academic career in the communication field, though, her BA in English Literature. Her MA thesis is called “Total Quality Management in PR”. She was accepted for a doctorate at the International Relations and Communications Institute. She completed her thesis “Communications Management in Diplomacy”. She lectures at Okan University in Istanbul for Communication and Publicity.
Dr. Güngör had worked as an economy journalist for 20 years before founding a PR consultant company STAGE Communications Consultancy (1999). During her journalism career, she was awarded “the Best Journalist of the Year” three times by the Turkish Journalist Association. In her PR career, she was rewarded by many institutions as well. She worked as a journalist in McGraw-Hill Publications-New York.
Today, she has been running STAGE Communication Consultancy and her organization and event company, 9 Organisation. She was the 2014 President of IPRA a board member for seven years and Jury Chair of the Golden World Awards for three years.
She is a member of TUHID (Turkish Public Relations Association), and the founding member and vice president of KAGIDER (Turkish Women’s Entrepreneurs Association).
