
Taazima is a Chartered PR consultant working in Botswana, the only Chartered PR professional in SADC and by the only Royally Chartered Institute for the industry. She is passionate about the power of the written and spoken word, as well as how communications can truly transform perception, engagement and even relationships. She writes extensively on this as a guest contributor for numerous local and international platforms, and have been published on PR and communications by the CIPR and in the inaugural Africa Communications and PR Report. Taazima has helped lead communications on two key IPOs on the continent and led the charge on several regional and local communications projects, one of which was a finalist in the global CIPR Excellence Awards. Taazima has also served as a judge on a number of industry competitions internationally and has worked on such brands as Letshego, Visa, Google, Samsung, and Stanbic Bank, to name a few. Taazima is a Member of the Public Relations Institute of Southern Africa and sits on the Boards and Committees of the Association of Communications Agency Botswana, the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) International (Vice-Chair and EDI Champion), and Learn To Play (Board Chair). She is the incoming Committee Chair for (CIPR) International for the year 2024. A lover of travel, literature and learning, she is passionate about playing a more integral role in helping professionalise the PR discipline with greater ethical best practice, strategic thinking and building organisational cultures premised on empathy, kindness and community. In this space, she has applied learnings on behavioural psychology and organisational culture to develop a dedicated tool to help cultivate greater happiness and associated productivity to enhance team dynamics and performance, as well as contributing to a unique reputation management tool now being used in the market. Taazima’s first book, a children’s book titled “The Phupie and The Princess” was released in June 2024, and was a finalist in the Botswana Literature Awards 2024.
