My career path began in the field of journalism, where I had the opportunity to uncover and understand the complex mechanisms of societal subsystems. For more than a decade, I was part of the exceptional team at the Slovenian Press Agency, focusing on business and economics – fields that fascinated me with their dynamism. My academic background – a degree in Marketing from the Faculty of Economics in Ljubljana – provided the foundation for my understanding of the intricate connections between people, markets, and ideas.
When I transitioned from journalism to a new professional chapter, I entered a realm where the experiences and skills from both fields seamlessly intertwine and complement each other. For the past 20 years, I have been crafting stories in the field of public relations at the Motorway Company of the Republic of Slovenia (DARS), the largest state-owned company in Slovenia. Nearly half of this time, I served as Head of Communications, steering communication flows and building bridges between the company and the public.
The greatest challenge and achievement of my career? Comprehensive communication campaigns that, together with an inspiring team, supported key changes in the tolling system – changes that shaped the everyday experience of both Slovenian and international motorway users.
My colleagues would describe me as diligent and resourceful, someone who maintains focus under pressure while remaining open to new ideas and solutions. Working in an environment where challenges are the rule rather than the exception keeps me motivated. With optimism and energy, I look to the future, seeing new opportunities for creating, connecting, and transforming.
