Jelena Šarenac has been working at Henkel Serbia for nine years, as Head of Corporate Communications, in charge of internal and external communications, public affairs, and brand communications. Additionally, since the 1st of July 2014. she is responsible for Corporate communications for Henkel Adria region (Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Hercegovina).
She gained business experience at Mercedes-Benz Company, i.e. at the DaimlerChrysler Company, where she was in charge of all brands as Marketing and Communications Director for nine years. After leaving DaimlerChrysler in 2006., she worked for a short period of time in a marketing agency as a Planning Director, responsible for the Coca-Cola brand.
She lived and studied in Moscow, and graduated from Moscow State University with a BA in management. After Moscow, she moved to London where she studied College of Law. During her career, she took a number of professional courses and training in the fields of communications, marketing, leadership, and planning. Currently working on a Master’s degree at the Faculty for Media and Communications in Belgrade. Fluent in German, French, Russian, and English. Basic knowledge of Italian.
Jelena is President of the Serbian Society for Public Relations (DSOJ), and an active member of the European Association of Communication Directors (EACD) and Serbian Association of Managers (SAM).
She is married and a mother of two boys.
