Scottish-born, James began his professional career in 2002 with VisitScotland, the Scottish National Tourist Board. Since moving to the UAE in 2013, James has continued his work in the tourism industry working across a range of accounts within the hospitality and leisure sector, including the annual Middle East tourism showcase, Arabian Travel Market. In addition, James works across several industries critical to the diversification of the UAE’s economy including real estate, security, facilities management, construction, F&B, and architecture, and in the process has built a substantial and varied contact database across all media and business.
As General Manager of Shamal Communications James has contributed to translating ambitious vision into strategic plans to deliver both short- and long-term growth.
