THE FOURTH JEWEL of Crikvenica is Ljubavna cestica and Aquarium. Ljubavna cestica is an original and colorful promenade surrounded by sub-Mediterranean vegetation that was designed and created in the thirties of the last century by engineer Ante Premužić (author of the well-known mountain trail on Velebit) and Alfons Kauders. The system of paths through the plants attracted many young lovers who walked there, so it got its romantic name after them. The Aquarium is, on the other hand, a special place where lovers of the underwater world can see more than a hundred species of fish from the Adriatic Sea, about fifty specimens of fish from tropical seas, and some freshwater fish on 200 m2.
