Katarina Klemenc is the Head of Corporate Communications at Lek, a Sandoz company in Slovenia. She also serves as Novartis Slovenia Country Corporate Communications Head. Katarina joined Lek in October 1998. She is heading Sandoz’s Diversity and Inclusion council in Slovenia.
From October 1990 Katarina was one of the earliest practicing PR professionals in the country, first as PR and Communications manager and later on Senior Account Director at the Koda Studio Advertising & Public relations agency in Slovenia. During her studies she worked as a presenter on a weekly TV show on Slovenia’s national broadcasting service. She also worked as one of local support for Time magazine in former Yugoslavia. During the 1991 war in Slovenia she was a local coordinator for the CBS television network.
Katarina graduated from the Faculty of Social Sciences in Ljubljana, with on of the first theses written in the field of PR in Slovenia. She is a graduate of the General Management Program at the IEDC Bled Business School. She is a member of the PR Society of Slovenia ant the International Association of Business Communicators and has received IABC awards at the regional and global level.
She is a mother of two girls and lives in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
