Galin Borodinov is the Managing Director of PR Point, Bulgaria. He holds a Ph.D. degree in mass communications with a thesis about the professionalization of PR in transitional societies. Part-time professor at Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski. Mr. Borodinov has twenty years of professional experience in journalism, advertising, and PR. He started his career as a TV reporter and editor, being among the first young people entering the air of the Bulgarian National Television after the changes in 1989. Later on, Mr. Borodinov switched to advertising and PR becoming creative director of one of the leading ad agencies. As a PR expert in the last decade, he had a key role in the development and implementation of communication strategies and nationwide awareness-raising campaigns for a broad spectrum of sectors. He is an experienced manager of EU-related communication activities as well as of projects funded by other donors such International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the World Bank UNDP, USAID, and the MATRA Programme. His company PR Point is an award-winner in a series of national and international competitions, one of the latest awards being the IPRA 2011 Special Golden World Award for Central & Southeastern Europe for a campaign on consumer rights protection executed in Bulgaria.
